Two people and a dog are forced to evacuate their home late last night when it catches fire causing 50–thousand dollars worth of damage. At about 11:30 P.M. a resident of 560 Eastwood Street happened to be outside and noticed smoke coming from under the trailer. Grand Junction Fire Department responded with 14 firefighters, two engines and a ladder truck. Crews had to cut holes in the floor of the trailer in order to get water to the fire which was underneath the floor. Damage to the home is estimated at 50–thousand dollars and damage to the contents inside at 20–thousand. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
