The Colorado State Patrol is asking for the public's help in finding the driver who allegedly ran into the back of a bicyclist and kept going. The state patrol reports the hit and run happened Wednesday on Garfield County Road 294 just outside of Rifle.
69-year-old Mackenzie Burnett was riding his bicycle westbound when he was struck from behind. He was thrown from the bike. Thursday night he was being treated for serious injuries at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction.
a witness reported the run vehicle as a silver or gray Honda Accord with a black bra cover on the front, driven by a hispanic male driver.
