Washington (AP) Senator Ken Salazar hasn't decided yet whether he will vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito. He said his face–to–face meeting with Alito Thursday left unanswered questions about how affirmative action would fare with Alito on the court.
The first–term Democrat says he isn't sure whether his concerns about Alito are serious enough to warrant a filibuster.
President Bush nominated Alito to succeed Sandra Day O'Connor who will retire after a new justice is confirmed. The senate will begin hearings on Alito on January 9th.
