Dogs Searching For Body Of Missing Girl Outside Her Home

Aurora (AP) Dogs are searching for the body of a missing six–year–old girl Friday in the yard outside her Aurora home. Aarone Thompson was reported missing on Monday by her father, but police say they believe she was killed as long as 18 months ago.

Investigators say so–called cadaver dogs are combing the
Thompson yard. They say the dogs could be taken to search other sites as well. Police say Aaron Thompson, the girl's father, and his girlfriend Shely Lowe are both, "persons of interest" in the case.

No one has been charged or arrested.

Thompson family spokesman Sam Riddle says Aaron Thompson told him he had nothing to do with his daughter's disappearance. According to Riddle, Thompson says his daughter left the house Monday after he wouldn't let her have a cookie.

Police say they removed seven other children from the Thompson home Thursdayy. Investigators have completed interviews with four of the children and are interviewing the other three Fridaay. Police say they still haven't interviewed Aaron Thompson or Lowe.
