Snowboarder Lost For Three Nights Found Alive

A 31-year-old snowboarder who had been missing since Wednesday was found alive Saturday. Mike Schmitt, spokesperson for Summit County Search and Rescue says John Ryan was found around 10:15 a.m. Ryan was found in the Jones Gulch area and was taken to the Keystone Medical Center for evaluation but appears to be all right. Schmitt says whatever he did he did something right to stay alive these last three days, noting temperatures had dropped into the low teens overnight. Ryan went missing near the Keystone Ski Area. He used his ski pass there Wednesday and was reported missing Thursday night.
