Air Force To Cut Lieutenants

Colorado Springs, Colo. (AP)- The Gazette of Colorado Springs
is reporting that the Air Force will kick out more than 17–hundred lieutenants in the next year. Some recent Air Force Academy graduates could be among those leaving. Air Force spokeswoman Jennifer Stephens said more people are choosing to stay in the Air Force than expected, forcing the cuts. She said lieutenants who serve as pilots, satellite specialists,
missileers and navigators won't be touched. Those who are serving in jobs ranging from security specialists to maintenance experts will be targeted.
