Another Grand Junction church is added to the list of those broken into or attempted to be broken into within the last week. According to the Grand Junction Police Department employees at the First Presbyterian Church on 27 1/2 Road arrived last Monday morning to find several damaged window screens. Police say nothing inside was taken and it appears that the would–be burglars did not enter the church. First Presbyterian is the eighth area church in the last week to have been either burglarized or attempted to be burglarized resulting in nearly five thousand dollars worth of damage. The investigation by the Mesa County Sheriff's Office and the Grand Junction Police Department is continuing.
