This week marks the beginning of the holiday travel season and so far Walker Field Airport in Grand Junction has seen no significant delays or problems. The airport expects a 10% passenger increase during the holiday season, however Public Information Officer Charlie Novinskie says airport traffic is already 11% above last year's figures and things so far have run smooth through Wednesday.
there will not be an increase in flights during the season,
however Novinskie says most flights, either coming in or going out of Grand Junction, have been full.
While delays have not been reported, with security increases those with families or extra baggage are encouraged to allow for extra time.
