Investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office have cleared a woman called a "person of interest" related to a shooting in Fruitvale yesterday morning.
Robin Vogt had been considered a potential witness to the shooting. She contacted investigators last night and was cleared of any involvement.
Deputies responded to 3050 Walnut Avenue at 6:15 yesterday morning on a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived they found Frederick Cunningham lying in the garage.
Investigators later contacted Cunningham at St. Mary’s hospital.
So far he has been uncooperative,but based on statements he has made it is unclear whether the shooting was intentional or accidental.
Investigators will continue to look into the incident.
