Police on Monday said 23-year-old Mark Tabullo-Zuniga died after being shot by Denver officers early Sunday. Twenty-seven-year-old Andres Castillo was also wounded by police during the shootout and is listed in serious condition at Denver health medical center.
Police say both men fired a shotgun at officers.
Four bystanders suffered minor injuries from shotgun pellets from the gun battle that broke out as hundreds of people were milling about the area before the bars closed.
Many visitors to the democratic national convention in august are expected to visit clubs and restaurants in the Lodo neighborhood, about a mile away.
