Sams Club Hands Out Thousands To Non-Profits Today.

More than 26–thousand dollars is distributed today to two dozen local non–profit groups chosen by the associates of Sams Club.

Donation amounts range from 300 dollars to more than 4–thousand dollars, and are given to a wide range of non–profit groups located on the Western Slope including local Lions Clubs, Challenge Aspen and the Grand Junction Police Department.

Annie Smyth says five hundred dollars doesn't sound like it can do much, but the Alzheimer's Association Of Western Colorado can turn a small donation into big results.

Sam's Clubs associates make donations several times a year. Recipients are chosen by the associates, some of whom are familiar to the employees because of their own work with the groups.
