School Kids Found Smoking Pot Laced With Heroin

Denver (AP)- Douglas County deputies arrested three students
Thursday who allegedly had marijuana laced with heroin. Sheriff's Lieutenant Alan Stanton says it's the second time in
three days that marijuana seized from Monte Vista High School
students tested positive for heroin. Stanton says a citizen had reported seeing numerous students gathered in an open space area near the school. Deputies found eleven students when they arrived, but say only three had drugs. Stanton says drug dealers sometimes spike marijuana with harder drugs to boost sales. He says officers would likely recommend charges of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana against
the students, who were 14 and 15 years old. The school district says drug–sniffing dogs will be sent to all district high schools starting next month. The inspections will
include the school premises and parking lots.
