The accident happened just south of Whitewater on Highway 50 near mile marker 43. According to the Colorado State Patrol,
Avalon Dillion of Montrose was traveling north in her ford ranger when she drifted off the left side of the road.
Dillion then tried to correct herself and over–steered back onto the roadway causing the truck to roll one and quarter times.
Extrication was needed to get dillion out of the vehicle.
The Grand Junction Fire Department cut the roof off of the truck.
Dillion was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash. Colorado State Patrol Troopers believe fatigue may have been a contributing factor.
