Grand Junction Fire Investigates Declares Car Fire As Arson

A supicious fire incident in Grand Junction that caused minor damage to a woman's vehicle Sunday night is being considered an act of arson.
The Grand Junction Fire Department arrived at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Chipeta Ave. shortly after 8 p.m., to find flames coming from the gas tank of the vehicle.
While the fire did not threaten any structures around the vehicle, Grand Junction fire officials say the fire is being considred an arson, and the investigation has been turned over to the Grand Junction Police Department.
