Colorado State University and the National Western Stock Show are celebrating 100 years together.
In january of 1905 the Western Stock Show formally opened for the first time, and since that first show,
Colorado State University and the National Western Stock Show have been tightly paired.
Students would volunteer at the show,
help judge and groom the animals,
and faculty of the agricultural program at CSU has been heavily involved since the beginning.
The National Western Stock Show is one of the biggest in the country
and it includes horse shows, animal auctions, and contests.
The stock show got underway Saturday in Denver,
and will continue through the 22nd of January.
