Fundraising by candidates hoping to be Colorado's next Governor is at an all time high, making this the most expensive gubernatorial race since campaign finance rules limited contributions.
According to the Denver Post, so far the two republicans in the race,
Bob Beauprez and Marc Holtzman have each raised more than one million dollars for their campaigns, and it is still early.
The GOP primary isn't until August.
Political watchers have predicted that the next seven months will be grueling as Beauprez and Holtzman go head to head
for the republican spot.
Bill Ritter and Gary Lindstrom are vying for Democrat position, and there is also talk of Democrat John Hickenlooper and Democrat Alice Madden joining in the race as well.
