The Grand Mesa will soon have more moose roaming around because of a cooperated effort between Utah and Colorado. Officials with the Division of Wildlife in Grand Junction were near Ogden, Utah today on a mission to round up and capture several moose. D.O.W. spokesperson Randy Hampton says the situation is mutually beneficial. Currently, Utah has too many moose and western Colorado has too few. This morning east of Ogden, local D.O.W officials caputred at least 8 moose. Some of the animals are already on their way back to the Grand Valley. The D.O.W. plans to release the moose into two separate locations on the Grand Mesa sometime tomorrow.
