Yesterday 13 moose were captured in Utah and released last night on the Grand Mesa. Today another 11 moose are being moved to western Colorado. The program to bring moose from Utah to Colorado started a year ago in a cooperative effort between the two state's Division of Wildlife offices. They are working together to remove the animals in overpopulated ares across the border and bring them to the Western Slope where the moose population is small. After tonight's release, there will be a total of 46 moose living on the Grand Mesa.
