The downtown Grand Junction rotary club has been quietly contributing to charities in the grand valley for more than 25 years.
In the past six months the Grand Junction rotary has contributed almost $145,000 to charity.
They donated more than $41,000 to Katrina relief.
$18,000 dollars has gone to buy school supplies for needy children
and $36,000 to salvation army bell ringing.
The Grand Junction Rotary Club is only one of four clubs in the area.
There are also clubs in Fruita, the Redlands,
and near Horizon Drive.
