Child Abuse Suspected In Case Of Head Trauma

Video will be available shortly.

Grand Junction police are investigating a possible case of child abuse after a little boy is found to have suffered a brain injury. According to police Sergeant Jim Creasy the two-year-old boy was brought into the emergency room at St. Mary's Hospital Thursday morning around 10:30. He says the boy was dropped off by his father's live–in girlfriend and her friend. The boy who was unconscious at the time had suffered a seizure. Doctors later determined the boy had suffered head trauma. He was admitted and is being treated for a brain injury. Police executed a search warrant at the family's home in the Toledo Apartment Complex in the 600 Block of North 22nd Street. The police are questioning the Dad and the girlfriend, but so far no arrests have been made.
