Grand Junction High School senior Amanda Steel is an award winning thespian. She's won the award of Best Thespian for the past two years and she's also won the awards of Best Manager and Best Walk-on Role. Amanda's not only gifted on stage, but she's also a success in the classroom. Teachers say she can handle any situation in any academic arena. Amanda plans to attend the University of Wyoming and follow in her mother's footsteps by becoming a pharmacists. Amanda says, "There are lots of job opportunities for pharmacists and once I get going in my profession hopefully I'll have time to travel and join the community theatre." Amanda is also a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the french club.
