Los Angeles (AP) Forecasters in California say the weather is about to make life more difficult for firefighters in the coming days.

Fresh reinforcements from other parts of th country continue to fly into areas that need help with raging wildfires.

A wildfire near Santa Barbara is now 35-percent contained, and more than 2,000 residents who had to evacuate over the weekend have been allowed back home.

But the lingering fire has again knocked power out for about 36,000 customers. It's the sixth straight day that's happened in the area.

Fire officials say wildfires burning near Big Sur to the north and in the Sequoia National forest east of Bakersfield are still at least two weeks away from containment.

Residents in Big Sur remain under a mandatory evacuation.
