Authorities say Travis Place was driving Eastbound in I-70 near Clifton, when he lost control, causing his vehicle to go over the median
and flip onto the West bound lanes of the highway.
Luckily, he was not hit by oncoming traffic.
Place had to be extracted from the vehicle, which caused Westbound I–70 to be closed for about 30 minutes. An investigation will continue as to what caused the driver to lose control. Authorities say that it could be any number of things, but they do not suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash at this time.
Place was the only person in the vehicle.
