A 15–year–old boy was hit by a car Saturday afternoon in Cedaredge while he and some friends were having a snowball fight on the town's main street. According to the Cedaredge police chief, the teen suffered serious injuries in the accident, including a broken femur and tibia as well as a large laceration on his forehead. The boy was taken to Delta Memorial Hospital then later air–lifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. There was no word on his condition late Saturday night. The man driving the vehicle involved was not hurt, but charges are pending an investigation.
