The 1st degree murder trial of Hector Zambrano continued Thursday at the Mesa County Justice Center with the defendant taking the stand for the second day. District Attorney Pete Hautzinger spent the morning cross–examining Zambrano. During which he tried to point out inconsistencies in Zambrano's story concerning a DUI arrest that happened the day before the murder of his wife Patricia Reyes in the couple's home in April of 2004. The defense rested its case and the prosecution will continue calling rebuttal witnesses Friday.
