Former Mesa County Deputy Announces Run For Sheriff

Long–time Mesa County resident and former deputy Bob Silva announces today he will run for Sheriff of Mesa County.

Silva is a Marine Corps veteran who is a graduate of the
FBI academy. He spent 27 years in the Mesa County Sheriff's Office staring as a deputy and ending his career as chief deputy. He says he would make serving the public his top priority by adding more deputies at no additional cost to the people.

Silva says the war on methamphetamine addiction in the Grand Valley can be won by not only with tough enforcement but by educating children and parents of the dangers of the drug.
