A Grand Junction man faces six counts including kidnapping and false imprisonment after assaulting his girlfriend for making meat loaf he says was for spite.
A police affidavit says Kevin Marconnette assaulted his girlfriend after arriving home to find meatloaf on the dinner menu. Marconnette grabbed a phone from his girlfriend and then pushed her to the floor.
He then hit her several times while sitting on her chest. The affidavit states the victim managed to get away, but Marconette grabbed her and dragged her back into the house and threw her against a heater.
He then sat on her chest and tried to pull her teeth out with a pair of pliers.
The affidavit states the victim managed to free herself a third time but was dragged back into the house by her hair. Eventually she managed to get away a drive to a friend's home where the police were called.
Marconnette is charged with two counts of kidnapping, assault, false imprisonment and obstruction of a telephone.
