Update: Boy Being Held at DYC for Library Fire

A young boy is being held at the Division of Youth Corrections. Officials say he started a fire in the basement bathroom of the Mesa County Library on Tuesday.

Tuesday's fire is the third fire at the library in just a week. Officials believe the boy they have in custody may be responsible for two of the fires.

The fire forced around 100 people to evacuate. Damage to the building is estimated at $1,500.

No one was injured in the fire.
