A long-awaited summer blockbuster is getting ready to swoop in on the Grand Valley.

The new Batman movie, “The Dark Knight”, premieres Friday at 12:01 a.m.

Fans 11 News spoke with say they started buying tickets and making premiere plans long ago.

They say the fact that this film is also Heath Ledger’s last, adds a lot of curiosity and mysticism.

Starting Friday daytime, the film is showing at Regal Cinema in Grand Junction in at least five different theatres.
