A local Yoga Academy is helping to raise funds for the family of Chani Capps.

Capps, 18, was in a car wreck, leaving her an incomplete quadriplegic.

Her family is now faced with medical expenses, the costs of a new wheelchair, van, and home renovation to make the home accessible for Chani.

The “Academy of Yoga” at 102 South 5th Street is offering classes, open to anyone, on a “donation only” basis.

The classes are Tuesdays at 6:00pm and Thursdays at 6:15pm in July and August.

You can donate as much as you like, and all proceeds benefit the Capps family.

The owner of the “Academy of Yoga”, Monica Cullinane is a mother of two.

She says when she heard about the family’s situation, she felt compelled to help.
