Fruita's Greenway Business Park Gets First Tenant

A builder of modular homes will become a tenant of Greenway Business Park west of Fruita, bringing a number of new jobs to the area.

Fruita City Manager Clint Kenney says the city has spent three years in negotiations with Timber Creek Homes, a Nebraska-based maker of mid to high end modular homes. The company builds homes in a variety of styles and sizes from about 2,000 to more than 8,000 square feet. The new plant will be 43,000 square feet in size and bring 75 to 100 new jobs to Fruita.

Kinney says a sewer line to the Greenway property is complete, which should help bring in more businesses.

Greenway Business Park is located near the Johns Manville plant about two miles west of Fruita on Highway 6 and 50.
