Grand Junction is in the midst of its second longest heat streak ever. If we hit 90 degrees today it will mark the 46th day in a row.
The record is 51 straight days set back in 1901.
Meteorologists say there is a really good chance we will break the record.
Grand Junction has yet to the 100 degree mark. According to the National Weather Service, in last 115 years there were 39 summers we did not hit 100. 1993 is last time we didn't hit 100.
