Grand Junction Police have arrested a hit and run suspect. The arrest happened Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. on Horizon Drive after getting a tip that the suspect was there.

Bryan Perschon is behind bars facing first degree assault charges.

Police say on July 21, the 29-year-old got into an argument with his girlfriend in the 2700 Block of Unaweep Drive. Officials say he was sitting in the drivers seat of a car and his girlfriend was standing between him and the door when he put the car into reverse. The victim was hit with the door and her foot was run over. Officials say Perschon then put the car into drive and hit her again. Police say he then fled the scene.
