Fire Burns on Little Bookcliffs

This morning a wildfire continues to burn atop the Little Bookcliffs.

At last report the Ramp Fire had only burned about a quarter acre, but officials are concerned because there is lot's of heavy fuel that could keep it going.

It's burning about eight miles north of Grand Junction Regional Airport in the Little Bookcliffs Lightning is the believed cause. Officials say it's burning BLM land and isn't threatening any structures or private property at this point.

One heavy tanker and six smoke jumpers are battling the blaze.

    There was no "heavy tanker" on the Ramp fire. Just one SEAT.
