The numbers are in for the United Way of Mesa County's 2005–2006 campaign and to the delight of those in the organization, for the second straight year more than $1M has been raised.
Last year's campaign was the first time the United Way topped the million dollar mark and with a 6-percent increase in funds raised, a total of nearly $1.2M, according to United Way, the numbers indicate the compassion of the entire community.
While the United Way's campaign for next year doesn't get started until September, those interested in getting involved are always encouraged to contact the United Way, the number is 243–5364.
