A piece of human skull discovered in Utah is now headed to an FBI lab for testing.

Grand County Investigators tell 11 News the Utah Medical Examiner's Office will send the bone to Quantico, Virginia to be carbon dated.

Deputies have wrapped up their search of an area just north of Westwater. A hiker found the skull there earlier this month.

Investigators found some other bones but believe they belong to animals. Those bones are headed to the Utah Medical Examiner's Office for testing.
