Shots Fired At Pakistani PM'S Motorcade

Officials say shots have been fired at a motorcade carrying the Pakistani prime minister, but that he is safe.

Islamabad, Pakistan (AP) Officials say shots have been fired at a motorcade carrying the Pakistani prime minister, but that he is safe.

Zahid Bashir, press secretary to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, said two bullets struck the politician's vehicle today on the driver's side near the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.

A security official said the shots were fired from a hill nearby. He spoke on condition of anonmyity because he was not authorized to speak to media.
