The Western Slope Vietnam War Memorial in Fruita hosts a Memorial Day Ceremony.
Hundreds of U.S. veterans, service men and women, and their families,
gathered around the memorial on Monday morning. Local politicians and U.S. military spoke about how it is important to remember those who have served our country.
There was also a pinning ceremony for 1st Lieutenant Ted Vickers who is with the United States Marine Corps.
