The Mesa County public library is continuing its $600,000 renovation project and with it comes some closures. On Monday June 19th all Mesa County library branches will be closed and on Tuesday the 20th the central library branch at 5th Street and Grand Avenue will be closed. The closures are necessary for crews to install a main electrical panel and remove the rock garden located in the basement of the central library. The library administration will also use Monday as a staff development day. The library staff is asking patrons to delay in dropping off items in the overnight slot during the closures until later in the week and they will not be counted as overdue.
