Trailer Victim of Hit and Run

Grand Junction Police are still trying to locate the driver who left the scene of a crash involving an SUV and a mobile home. According to Grand Junction Police Sergeant Dave Krouse the crash happened about 10:30 friday night.

A black GMC jimmy apparently slammed into this home at 830 Independent Avenue.The SUV was left there and witnesses say they saw two hispanic men run from the area. The one person who was home at the time of the crash described the impact in an article with the Daily Sentinel.

Resident Rudy Trujillo says he was in the living room watching television when he heard what he thought was an explosion. He says the impact ruptured a natural gas line leading into the home. Krouse says no arrests have been made however investigators do have suspect information and are in the process of trying to locate the driver.
