At least one person is dead after a small airplane crashed in a neighborhood in Montrose and caught fire.
The plane crashed into the cab of a semi-truck on a residential street, killing at least the pilot shortly after 10 am Monday morning.
The associated press reports that Montrose County Sheriff's spokesman Dick Deines says that preliminary reports indicate that it may have been a single engine plane that crashed into an unoccupied truck on South 9th street between Park and Uncompahgre Avenues.
