Ute Water customers can rest assured - that's because, their drinking water passed with flying colors according to the Environmental Protection Act test standards.

The test shows the results for the year 2005, which Ute Water recently released in a published report to its customers. The water is tested for different contaminants and chemicals; including copper, lead, and nitrates.

Ute Water received no violations. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, all water utility providers are required to publish an annual report.

Ute Water District, which is one of four water providers in the Grand Valley, has 30,000 customers and serves 75,000 people.
