Being a bondsman may seem to some a controversial job, but it's also a necessary job to give the accused their right to liberty and keep the jails from over flowing.

Dean Herdengrader said he loves his job and his clients. Although there is no security involved in being a bondsman, he rolls with the ups and downs. His job is a roller coaster because of the nature of his clientele.

Some people may question this aspect of it, because most of the time, Dean is bailing out criminals. He said most of his clients are cooperative, but there are of course times when Dean will resort to being physical with a client.

Dean said when he bails people out, they are usually happy and very emotional. He also tries to focus on the most important part of his job,
and that is helping people.
