Drowning Ruled As Cause Of Death In Muddy Crash

Video will be available shortly.

The Utah man who died in yesterday's accident on Interstate 70 drowned according to the Mesa County Coroner's office.

James and Rose Smith of Murray, Utah were west–bound on Interstate 70 when their car began sliding in mud and water washing across the highway. The car rolled several times after it left the roadway and ended up side down in a pool of water from heavy rains and flooding in the area.

Rose Smith was not seriously injured in the crash, but James Smith had to be pulled from the submerged car, which was under water for several minutes before he was removed.
