A ribbon cutting ceremony Monday will commemorate the new 24 Rd. roundabout and Interstate 70 overpass, however, on Tuesday a section of I–70 will have to be shut down to tear down the old overpass.
Starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday and going through 5 a.m. Wednesday, a 12-mile stretch of I–70, from the Clifton interchange to the 22 Rd. interchange, will be shut down in both directions so CDOT crews can dismantle the old 24 Rd. overpass.
Message signs will placed along highway 6 and 50 and the I–70 business loop to advise motorists of the closure.
24 Rd. between Canyon View Park and Fellowship Church will also be closed to traffic during the same time period as well.
