A crash Saturday night sends a truck into a Palisade canal making it the third vehicle in a month to take a dive.
At about 11 p.m. Jake Littlepage says he was driving down G.7 road with his friend when he swerved to miss a dog. Littlepage says then his truck hit some gravel, spun into a light pole and slid into the canal. Luckily he and the passenger were able to escape with only minor injuries.
The Colorado State Patrol responded to the accident. It took more than two hours for a commercial dive team and a $600,000 tow truck with a crane to fish the truck out of the canal. Littlepage was ticketed for careless driving and no proof of insurance.
