The 38th Annual Palisade Peach Festival is going on this weekend at Riverbend Park.
It's all things peach at the festival. Peach pie, peach sundaes, peach ice cream and even peach daiquiris. The festival is an important annual tradition to the City of Palisade because it attracts locals and people from out of town. The attraction is the tasty peaches, and everyone seems to have a different reason for liking the tasty fruit.
The festival is also a good marketing tool for the local orchards. It let's the visitors know where the local orchards are located- and that they are open all year round.
The festival continues Sunday with Downtown Palisade historical tours, and the Palisade Sunday Farmers Market.
