An art exhibit on display in the Mesa State College Library has some student republicans upset.

The series of black and white photographs on display argues that gay and lesbian families are as traditional as heterosexual ones. But college republicans disagree. Wednesday afternoon they stood outside the library and handed out wedding cake. They also married people to live gold fish in hopes of making the point that marriage should only be between one man and one woman.

The art exhibit will travel to other parts of Mesa County for the next two weeks.
