Local wineries are making those last minute preparations for the 15th Annual Colorado Mountain WineFest which kicks off Thursday. The WineFest is Colorado's largest. Wineries here attribute that to the fact that there's 18 wineries in the valley making it the largest concentrated area for them.
More than 40 wineries are expected to attend the four day event which features a grape stomp, bike tours, live music and of course wine tasting and food. While winemakers in the valley all have their eyes set on a Best of Fest Medal, most agree it's all about having fun and selling a little wine.
WineFest gets underway Thursday at 1:00p.m. with a golf event at Redlands Mesa Golf Course, followed by a winemakers dinner at 6:00 p.m.
