A 57–year–old man is facing a number of charges including sexually exploiting children and tampering with physical evidence. But he's is on the streets after posting a $100,000.00 bond.
According to authorities at the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, Frank P. Alameno was arrested after they received a tip that he was sexually exploiting children. The allegations were partially confirmed when someone gave investigators explicit images of sexual acts involving young children.
That prompted the search of a home at 2980 CR 311 in New Castle. There authorities found various forms of child pornography. A computer was taken from the home for forensic examination. During the search authorities also found suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time. Alameno was arrested in Rifle. Alameno was ordered to surrender his passport but he remains out on bond.
At this time the Sheriff's Office isn't releasing any information on how many victims there are or where they are from.
